Technology isn’t just a career for me—it’s a lifelong passion. My journey began early, thanks to my dad who regularly brought home computers, opening doors to a whole new world. Growing up around the local MS-DOS user group meant endless opportunities to explore software, shareware, and hardware. Long before the internet was commonplace, I was diving into code, upgrading hardware, and absorbing everything tech-related I could get my hands on.
That early enthusiasm propelled me forward, and I’ve never stopped learning. By age 16, I was so eager to broaden my horizons that I enlisted in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. Over four memorable years, I provided wired and wireless communications support with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY, and later with the 2nd Infantry Division in South Korea.
After receiving my honorable discharge, I transitioned smoothly into IT consulting. Starting solo, then partnering with my friend Matt Jackson at Digital Convergence Inc. in Enid, OK, I cultivated a deep appreciation for solving real-world business challenges through technology. Since moving into corporate IT in 2006, I’ve worked with select companies, gaining invaluable experience and making meaningful professional connections along the way.
From delivering high-speed wireless solutions in Northwest Oklahoma to implementing robust Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) strategies, every step has reinforced my commitment to leveraging technology to enhance productivity and security.
Today, I freelance under my own banner, CrossTimber Technology, and I’m always looking for exciting projects and collaborations. Word-of-mouth referrals and LinkedIn recommendations are greatly appreciated!
I’m also open to exploring full-time opportunities. Please take a look at my resume linked below, and feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn.
